Definition and Construction
Shiplap: Shiplap is a traditional wood splicing method, usually used for exterior and interior wall covering. Its characteristic is that the edges of each board are specially processed so that they can be tightly spliced like the side of a ship's cabin. The design of shiplap usually includes a flat back and a grooved edge, which allows the boards to overlap and form a unique layered feeling.
T&G (Tongue and Groove): T&G molds are spliced by processing one side of each board into a tongue and the other side into a groove. In this way, two boards can be connected to each other by inserting and locking to form a smooth surface. T&G molds are commonly used for floors, walls and ceilings, providing a tighter and more beautiful splicing effect.
